What a busy couple of weeks we have had in Kestrel class! The children have been learning lots of new things!
In Maths we have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes and learning about their properties. I wonder if your child at home can remember the names of any shapes?
In English we have been reading ‘The Storm Whale,” and learning new skills in writing. We looked at expanded noun phrases and the children wrote their own about the whale.
Art has been an exciting subject so far for the children as we have explored printing and used different objects to print with.
We had a mystery to solve in History. The children had a selection of photos and dates in their History mystery box and had to work out what our focus will be for this half term. They did really well with this and worked out that it is the lifeboats.
In computing we have been using the beebots. We had to practice giving and following instructions, just like the ones we program into the beebots.
