Learn to let your light shine

Kestrels Class

Welcome Kestrels Class! We are very excited to see what the year brings!

In Kestrels, we always let our lights shine and follow the school values. We are a friendly class and and try our best everyday. We all help each other to be the best kestrels and provide lots of kind words and praise. Lots of new learning takes place in our classroom, allowing the Kestrels to aim and achieve high. We all know that learning can be hard and mistakes can be made, but these help us improve and be even better. The staff in our classroom provide lots of support and encouragement to help the Kestrels get to where they need to be.

Things Kestrels need to know:

Reading:

Reading books are changed on a Monday. You will have one 'learning to read book' to take home and a 'reading for pleasure' book to share with a grown-up. Please read as much as possible and at least three times a week. This helps the Kestrels to become super readers and helps with lots of other aspects of our curriculum! You can fill out your reading record and ask an adult to sign it. A huge thank you to all adults who support this.

PE:

PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On PE days, please send your child in their outdoor kit (black shorts in warmer weather or black or grey joggers/leggings in cooler weather, white T-shirt or polo shirt and school hoodie.) Tie any long hair back and remove or put tape over any earrings.

Staff in Kestrels class:

 Class Teacher- Miss Dean

Teaching Assistant- Miss Brough

We want to make this a super year for your child, if you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask us during drop off or pick up.

We hope you all have a fantastic year in Kestrels Class!
