Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

A busy Christmas filled final week! 

We started the week off with a brilliant performance from the East Riding Music Service. The children were introduced to various instruments including: clarinet, violin, electric keyboard, saxophone, trombone and flute. 

On Tuesday, we visited All Saint's Church and watched the Year 1 nativity. The children sat beautifully and enjoyed dancing along to the songs. On Tuesday afternoon, we had our party! We played games including musical bumps, musical statues and gave out special prizes to some super dancers. We finished off the celebrations with a game of pass the parcel, and ate some yummy fairy buns. 

On Wednesday, we had a very special visitor in the playground, Father Christmas on his sleigh! The children were overjoyed, and each received a special present! Then the children enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner in their Christmas jumpers!

Tomorrow, we will visit church for our end of term Christmas celebration worship. 

The children will return back to school on Tuesday 6th January 2026.
