What a super start to Year 2!
The Kestrels have settled in really well and have already been working hard, learning new things.
We are looking at place value in maths, thinking about how many tens and ones a number has. They have done really well with this, counting carefully.
In English, our focus book this half term is 'Once Upon an Ordinary School Day.' The Kestrels have been thinking about their school day and morning routines, comparing them to the routine in the story.
In Art, we have started learning about LS Lowry and exploring his work which the children really enjoyed. I wonder if your child at home can tell you what he uses to create his pieces of art?
Don't forget PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so please make sure children are in their kit.
