We’ve had such a lovely half term in The Hive following our theme of 'Splash!'

These last two weeks we have been enjoying our rhyme, “Ring a Ring of Roses.” It’s been wonderful to incorporate it into our Foundations for Phonics lessons, and the children seem to love it! Especially the anticipation of when to jump up!

We’ve also had some fantastic sessions out in the  front garden, making daisy chains and exploring natural objects has kept us all engaged and curious about the world around us. There’s something so magical about nature and being outside!

Our daily “Days of the Week” song from CBeebies has become a firm favourite in the classroom. These can be accessed at home and on a weekend https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/curations/days-of-the-week-songs

Another exciting activity we’ve tried and enjoyed is exploring ice and attempting to free the penguins trapped inside frozen eggs. It’s been both educational and a lot of fun watching their little faces light up as they engage in the hands-on experience. The children have all also made a fish to bring home using the technique they wanted to do - here they are all together for you to see.

Looking ahead, we’re all eagerly anticipating our trip to Elmswell Farm! Thank you to everyone who has kindly completed and submitted their permission slips. If you haven't done so yet, please do so.

Here’s to more fun-filled adventures ahead!

Have a great half-term holiday and update us on Tapestry with all the things you have been busy doing.
